Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)
The ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) software provides access to source files and correct loading of the data warehouse. It is a general description of the process that leads to the filling of a data warehouse. In short: data is retrieved from a source system (extract), checked and adjusted to meet the data warehouse standards (transform), and loaded into the data warehouse (load).
